Washington really loves SoulCycle. The opening date keeps getting pushed back due to construction issues, but a publicist for the indoor cycling studio tell us that tomorrow's very first class sold out in one minute. And the doors are open Thursday for a full day of classes, so get excited.
In addition to a 55-bike studio, D.C.'s first SoulCycle studio has its own retail boutique stocked with branded workout gear. To get ready for the opening, SoulCycle co-founder Julie Rice told Racked DC via email what you'll be able to buy in-studio for your rides, what not to wear to class, and how to show your SoulCycle D.C. pride.
What should riders expect at the D.C. SoulCycle retail boutique?
Every new studio opens with our CORE collection. Our SoulCycle basics - black SoulCycle branded leggings, black, grey, white and yellow t-shirts and tanks and black and grey sweatshirts.
Which pieces include D.C. branding?
Our t-shirts and sweatshirts will have D.C. branding.
What does the skull and crossbones branding signify?
Your inner rockstar!
What are the worst outfits to wear to class?
Anything that is super baggy or heavy, you don't want ANYTHING to get caught on your bike.
Which city has the most stylish bikers?
Each SoulCycle has its own unique style.
How do you feel about folks who wear their workout clothes all day, yay or nay?
Why not? We believe you should wear whatever makes you feel your best.
