First, Georgetown's Anthropologie gets a BHLDN boutique for brides, and now the M Street store is a destination for petites too. The M Street store's Petites shop-shop opened last week and is tailored to women 5'3" and under. In addition to styles designed by Anthro's own labels such as Cartonnier, Maeve and Pilcro, there will also be exclusive petite options available from such well known fashion brands as AG Jeans, WHIT and Plenty by Tracy Reese. Racked DC asked Sarah Wagner, petite buyer for Anthropologie, to share more about the shop-in-shop:

Why did you choose Georgetown for the new petites shop?
D.C. is a very important market for the petite customer and after the amazing response we received from our petite shop in Chevy Chase we wanted to offer the same selection and opportunity to our Georgetown customer. While we will continue to expand our rich assortment online, we also want to offer our customer the flexibility to stop in one of our stores to see and try on the clothing if she wishes.

Are you ramping up your Anthropologie Petites shop-in-shop locations throughout the country?
We recently opened twelve locations across the country and with our new Georgetown shop, we will have 21 petite shops nationwide.

Is it the same merchandise as the traditional sizes or are some items completely unique to Petites?
Both- we have a mix of petite versions of our traditional styles as well as exclusive items just for our petite customers including a recent collaboration with Whitney Pozgay of WHIT for summer and styles from Nomad by Morgan Carper which is unique to petites for fall.

What are your favorite items/looks for fall 2014?
Jumpsuits, distressed denim, breathtaking autumnal prints are some of our favorite trends/looks for fall.
