Earlier in the spring, Juicy Couture closed its doors on M Street. We heard that Kate Spade New York would move over from its current M Street location into the larger Juicy Couture space, while sister brand Kate Spade Saturday would move into the current Kate Spade space. Sure enough, signage popped up for Kate Spade at 3034 M Street NW and now a press release from EastBanc, Inc. and Acadia Realty Trust reveals that the opening date for the new Kate Spade New York store is slated for August 16.
According to the press release, the new store is double the size of Kate Spade's current location, clocking in at 5,421 square feet. Kate Spade will now have the space in Georgetown to showcase the brand's full line.
What about Kate Spade Saturday? Although Kate Spade press reps didn't respond to our requests, we're still hearing from multiple sources that Kate Spade Saturday will open in the current Kate Spade location at 3061 M Street NW. Looking forward to Kate Spade Saturday? Loving the shiny new CityCenterDC Kate Spade New York store? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. By the way, all sale is 25% off at Kate Spade NY in stores and online now through July 6.
