Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Zoe, the Alexandria boutique that opened in April 2011, will close its doors for good this coming June. Boutique founder Susan Lilly Gerock, who worked in information technology before making the jump to fashion, made the announcement via the shop's Facebook page. The Old Town shop's stock revolved around brands like Rebecca Taylor, Tracy Reese and Mother.

The closing announcement, from Zoe's Facebook page:

Dear Friends,

Many, many thanks for being such a special part of my and Zoe's journey. Changing priorities and demands in my life led me to the decision to close Zoe Boutique.

Please join us over the next month as we send Zoe on to her next adventure! Starting today, all merchandise will be 40% off (including sale items!) in store and online. Discounts will increase as we get closer to June 8th but shop now for the best selections!

With Love, Susan (and Zoe)
