WWD reports that New York-based luxury menswear store Paul Stuart will open a boutique at CityCenterDC next spring. This will be only the fourth Paul Stuart store in the U.S.: in addition to the flagship store in New York, there are two Paul Stuarts in Chicago and two stores in Japan.
The nearly 10,000-square-foot store at CityCenterDC will be designed by Charles Sparks + Company, featuring stately materials like marble, bronze, and zebrano wood. The 76-year-old brand is known for dressing dignitaries and world leaders, and a store in Washington has long been in their sights. Paul Stuart's president and CEO Michael Ostrove told WWD, "D.C. makes perfect sense for us; it is a city that values style, refinement and sophistication over the constantly shifting vagaries of fashion."
