FALLS CHURCH—National discount chain Stein Mart opens its doors in Virginia on May 15. It's taking over the building that used to (now-shuttered national discount chain) house Loehmann's. Clearly it's fate.
U STREET CORRIDOR—NYC-based fashion line Meg is back in the district for another trunk show at The Tasting Room at Cork Market on May 18. This is the designer's sixth visit to DC. That Sunday, from 1-5pm, meet designer Meghan Kinney and try out Cork Tasting Room's treats while trying on Meg's wares.
DUPONT CIRCLE—DC-based menswear start-ups are all gathering for The Art of Style Happy Hour this Friday, May 16, from 5pm-7pm at The Huxley. Meet the makers behind Bull+Moose (neckwear and pocket squares), Nice Laundry (socks), Stubble and Stache (grooming) and more. Local bloggers Off the Cuff will be there, too. RSVP for free here.
