It looked like a beautiful sunny day for the very first District Flea of 2014, but what you can't see in our photo gallery is the crazy wind gusts that kept all the vendors on their toes. Tents rattled, glassware broke, an entire display of Cherry Blossom Creative neighborhood greeting cards fell over, and earrings just plain blew away. But despite the tough conditions, shoppers came out to browse through fun merch like terrariums from Holley Simmons, jewelry from designers like Rachel Pfeffer, Byrdie, and NMC, and cool vintage furniture and clothing finds from all over. And D.C. brick and mortar stores like Legendary Beast and Hunted House made an appearance at Saturday's District Flea. After the jump, we've got photos of Saturday's shopping scene, which will happen every Saturday from now through October. · District Flea [Official Site]
