Today's the big day for Anthropologie on M Street: the new BHLDN bridal shop-in-shop is open. A room on the upper level near the stairs has been transformed into a dreamy bridal salon, with bridal and reception gowns, jewelry, veils, and a tiny bit of wedding decor. The look here is less ballgown, more wedding dresses brides can move and dance in, with prices topping out at $3600. Bridesmaid dresses line the entrance of the salon, and BHLDN reps tell us that some brides are going for the Annabelle bridesmaid dress in white, which retails for just $260. Then they'll go crazy with jewelry and glam accessories.
Downstairs, BHLDN shoppers have their own fitting room area, with a three-way mirror and sitting area. Each bride will have a dedicated BHLDN stylist. Appointments for brides are recommended, and weekends are booking up quickly. See a gown you like online at BHLDN's site? You can order it and have it shipped to the store, so you still have the whole bridal gown in-store experience. And return shipping is free. See photos of D.C.'s new BHLDN store after the jump.
