Welcome to Spring Forward: over the next six weeks, we'll be profiling the best new arrivals and trends at some of our favorite local boutiques.
Click the Polyvore set to shop the pieces. We've visited Wink and Redeem, and now the third stop on our Spring Forward tour is a two-fer: we're getting the spring trend lowdown at Hu's Shoes and Hu's Wear in Georgetown. Located in two separate storefronts within a block of each other, both shops showcase an out-of-this-world collection of designer pieces. Hu's Wear's Tara Luizzi took us on a spin through Hu's Shoes and Hu's Wear and picked out some truly inspiring pieces — Givenchy skater shoes and cobalt blue purses, anyone? — for sunny, 70-degree days that are surely on their way.
Graphics: Pump up your wardrobe this spring with a piece in a striking graphic print or shape. Luizzi pulled a sleeveless black and white Yigal Azrouel dress that she said could fit a lot of different personalities and occasions. "I love how he used the splash of neon color," Luizzi said. Like the print? It's available in a slouchy pant too, sans neon. Over at Hu's Shoes, you'll find a Fendi pump with a mirrored, architectural heel. "It's a disco shoe," Luizzi told us. Sign us up for the disco.
