CityCenterDC isn't the only block in D.C. scoring new high-end shops. Earlier this month, a PoPville reader wrote in with intel that the United Colors of Benneton store at 1666 Connecticut Avenue, NW would be replaced by an EmporiumDNA boutique. And now we have confirmation from a rep that yes, EmporiumDNA will open a new store in Washington, DC in March 2014.
A big launch party is planned for sometime in mid-March, but here's a quick primer on Emporium: the company has three freestanding boutiques already, with locations at Revel Resorts in Atlantic City, and in Chicago, and Las Vegas. Emporium, DC will feature a mix of products from brands like Rebecca Minkoff, IRO, Michael Kors, Marc By Marc Jacobs, B Brian Atwood, Rag & Bone, Clover Canyon, Equipment, J Brand and more. And the shop's merchandise will be replenished constantly, with emerging designers included in the list of name-brand labels.
