It's 2014: may all can't-make-it-to-the-gym excuses be forgot and never thought upon. It's time to get it together this month, and thankfully, there are so many people in Washington who've devoted their careers to helping us desk jockeys get fitter and feel healthier. We're talking CrossFit boxes and indoor cycling studios and yoga studios and boutique Pilates Reformer studios — seems like a new gym is opening every week. There's plenty of DIYs to tackle too, like The November Project's free fitness movement.
To help make sense of it all and help you get inspired to keep your fitness resolution, we'll be flooding the site with everything you need to know about the city's fitness scene, from the best studios to the best places to buy new gear, and where to get a sports massage to recover from your crazy workouts. So hang on to those Fitbits, Fuelbands, and Jawbone UP bracelets, and let's get started!
