Whoa, one of Washington's favorite stores is opening a second location — a beach house, if you will. Quirky vintage furniture shop Miss Pixie's is headed to Rehoboth, opening Miss Pixie's By The Sea just two blocks from the beach. It's a smaller location than the original shop, so the focus will be on the knick knacks, art, linens, books, and home furnishings. But they'll also have farm tables and interesting accent furniture pieces for sale. The plan is to have fun weekly events at the beach store. As for why Rehoboth Beach for a second location, owner Pixie Windsor told Racked DC via email:
Great location, great space, great rent, an opportunity to let all those Washingtonians who don't already know about Miss Pixie's in on the secret! …and a lifelong wish of mine to have a little shop at the beach.
Does this inspire you to plan a beach getaway? Be there for the opening party on February 14 at 7 p.m. There will be local food and drinks, a tarot card reader and everything you expect from a Miss Pixie's bash, now with 100% more beachy vibes.
