Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

LOGAN CIRCLE—We told you about Room & Board's giant sale in December, and as they say, out with the old, in with the new. Once a year, Room & Board completely changes their floor at the D.C. shop to bring in their new collection of American-made furniture and accessories, and as of last week, you can shop the new new at the 14th Street store. See their catalog online or in print, and head to the store for furniture and accessories incorporating spring 2014 trends like metallics, geometric shapes, and brilliant pops of color. [RackedWire]

BROOKLAND—Get a new hobby in 2014 with the help of the ladies at Analog at Monroe Street Market. Professional seamstress and Brookland resident Chris Cooper will teach a Sip and Sew class on Thursday, January 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required for the $35 class, and you'll learn how to use a sewing machine to make a tote bag. All materials and refreshments are covered in the registration fee, and hurry, because space is limited.

GEORGETOWN—Over on Wisconsin Avenue, Nectar Skin Bar in Georgetown is running a special for the month of January: book any facial and receive a complementary bikini wax. [Facebook]
