The line to get into the Union Station's H&M grand opening in the former Barnes & Noble space doesn't look so bad, until you realize it stretches out the main entrance to Union Station and halfway to the Metro station.
The doors opened at noon today, and this was the scene at 12:45 when we stopped by, and an employee advised us to come back at 3 p.m. to avoid the line. Keep in mind though, that only the first 300 shoppers in the door get scratch-off cards with the chance to win up to $300 in merch. Employees also gave away coupons for future H&M visits, and a DJ had the soundtrack cranked up to 11.
