National franchise Pure Barre just opened a location in Dupont Circle in the spring, and now they are headed to downtown Bethesda too. Robert Dyer reports that the barre studio will open sometime in November in the Shoppes of Bethesda. The Pure Barre workout focuses on a 55 minutes combo of pilates, weight lifting, and ballet. And it can get pricy — an unlimited month of classes at the D.C. location will set you back $250.
This is just the beginning of Pure Barre's expansion into the Washington area: their website lists Alexandria, Reston, and McLean as "coming soon," with a Fairfax location set to open September 20. The Fairfax studio will be located at 4201 Ridge Top Road, and here's your chance for a deal: purchase before the opening date and get five weeks unlimited for $100.
