District Flea vendors better bundle up this November. Turns out that the new Florida Avenue flea market and food stall Saturday extravaganza from the founders of the Brooklyn Flea will be extended six more weekends, the Washington Post reports. November 30 will be the last weekend of the District Flea before it closes for winter.
District Flea manager Hugh McIntosh told the Post that the turnout has been so promising, District Flea organizers decided to keep the flea market going instead of ending October 19 as expected. The food vendors are drawing people in, McIntosh said, and dozens of vendors have joined on since the first weekend.
