It's not Apple or Uniqlo or Tiffany's or Topshop or any other huge retailer rumored as a tenant for downtown's biggest project, the mixed-use development CityCenterDC. But yesterday the Washington Business Journal and PoPville reported that luggage brand Tumi is the first retailer for CityCenterDC confirmed by the project's developer Hines.

Signage is up for Tumi advertising a fall 2013 opening. There's 295,000 square feet of retail space to fill in the development, and so far we know that on the restaurant side, celeb chef Daniel Boulud will open DBGB Bar & Kitchen.
