If all goes to plan, the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City could add 50,000 square feet of retail space for shops and restaurants along South Hayes Street. Yesterday, mall owner Simon Property Group presented its plan for the expansion to Arlington's Site Plan Review Committee, ARLnow reported.
Constructed along the mall's driveway, the two-level addition with a glass and metal facade would add five to seven retail tenants and modernize the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City's entrance. The plan still needs approval from the Arlington County Board.
