Let your charitable nature fuel an insane shopping spree this week. Starting tomorrow through October 27, holders of the Care for Kids card will receive 20 percent off at a long list of area stores and restaurants, from local boutiques to huge brands. You can see the whole list here, but on the local shop side, participating retailers include Hitched, Muléh, Ginger Boutique, Urban Chic, Britt Ryan, Bellacara, Denim Bar, and Urban Country. And national retailers include huge names like Madewell, J. Crew, Jonathan Adler, West Elm, Tory Burch, Container Store, Coach, Jimmy Choo, and Kate Spade. If you have a big purchase (or two) on your wish list, this could be a good week to make it happen.
But first you'll need to purchase a Care for Kids card, which costs $50 with all proceeds from card sales benefiting Children's National Medical Center. Where can you buy the card? It will be on sale at many of the participating retailers, consult the list to find one near you.
Tonight, the Clarendon location of South Moon Under is offering 20% off total purchases when you buy a Care for Kids card, and holding a $100 gift card raffle. And this coming Wednesday, Sassanova in Bethesda will celebrate their 10th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of Care for Kids with a party dj'ed by DJ Neekola and catered by Lebanese Taverna. UPDATE: Today, Bethesda's Ginger Boutique will take 25% off every purchase storewide with the purchase of the Care for Kids card.
