Looks like Capitol Hill residents soon won't have to head to Foggy Bottom or Logan Circle to get their Whole Foods fix. Yesterday, David Garber, commissioner of Ward 6, tweeted: "WC Smith makes it official to ANC 6D: lease signed for new Whole Foods store at 800 New Jersey Ave SE in #NavyYard."
UrbanTurf reported that the audience burst into applause at the ANC 6D meeting on Monday night when Brad Fennell of W.C. Smith announced the news. So Navy Yard neighbors are pumped about this news, but what about non-residents? Would a Whole Foods make it more likely for you to visit the neighborhood?
